My project this week...

Finally, getting the brass out of the kitchen. For some reason, the brass pulls on the kitchen cabinets have been on my mind a lot. I went out and got some new ones (see the bag-o-brass...I'm saving them in case brass ever comes back into style again...I really hope not though. Oh, and I can't figure out how to rearrange these pictures, so bare with me). Here's the finished product.

Mieke waiting for Matt to come home. As soon as it starts to get dark out, they're both waiting for him to come home.

Our fireplace with our stockings. Matt's mom made me a stocking! Its so cute and I know it took a lot of time.

I've been feeling like the kitchen (well, I'm starting with the kitchen) needed a little bit of updating, so I went out and got some nice oil-brushed bronze finished

The Bag-o-Brass. Now, I just have to get the light above the kitchen table replaced and do the master bathroom that is oozing with brass. I know, Matt thinks I'm crazy too, but I just don't think brass is as warm and inviting as other metals. Yes, officially...nutty.

Matt carving one of the pumpkins. For some reason, he wanted me to stay away from the big, sharp knives. Like I'd cut myself or something!
Scottie the bee

Mieke the lady bug

Don't they look soooo happy in their costumes!

And yes, my pumpkin looks like a 5 year old did it.

Sunset off the back of the boat

Another sunset.

weird to see Matt with a wedding ring on! Still getting used to that!

The social security number has been changed and today, I had the privelege of standing in the line at the DMV with all the other frustrated people (how in the world can you only have 3 workers behind the of which is doing driver tests for all these people?!) to have my license changed. And with a little bit of patience...about an hour and a half worth of patience, I am now sporting the Guggenheim name on my new, not improved because the picture I took is WAY worse than the first, license. Hooray!
